Lake Tutira provides flyfishing and kayaking opportunities (no power boating) and a lakeside camping area within the Hawke’s Bay Regional Council’s Park.

Within a short distance by road is Lake Opouahi with its kiwi crèche. There are also excellent mountain biking areas between Napier and Tutira.

The area also provides interesting opportunities for photographers, ornithologists, geologists and for many other outdoor recreational pursuits. For further information please contact our Curator.
